Description from the seller
Kingdom of Italy - Vittorio Emanuele III (1900 - 1943)
20 Centesimi "ESAGONO" Fior di Conio Assoluto
Exceptional specimen of 20 Centesimi "Esagono" from 1918, minted under the reign of Vittorio Emanuele III. As shown in the image and per numismatic expertise, the coin presents an FDC Absolute preservation state, with an extraordinary strike freshness, sharp fields and reliefs, and free of contact. This specific piece boasts an exceptional historico-numismatic value: it actually bears an imprint of the "20" from the preceding 20 centesimi coin of Umberto I, testimony to the reuse of coins withdrawn due to metal shortages during the Great War. The fascinating traces of the original reeding of the old rim are also clearly visible. A piece of high caliber, ideal for even the most demanding collectors seeking coins in perfect conservation.
