LOT 1 OF 5 (4 CHAIRS) CHECK OUT MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE SIMILAR CHAIRS.
Discount on shipping for multiple purchases to be agreed with the buyer based on the destination of the goods.
4 Kartell chairs model 4875 in green plastic dating from the Italian Space Age period.
The chairs are in good vintage condition, though with some signs of age, wear, and scratches. They still have the original non-slip caps under the legs (see second-to-last photo).
The marks are visible in side light and difficult to show in photos (which are an integral part of the description).
The major defects have been highlighted with dedicated photos; they do NOT show signs of discoloration.
Stamped under the seat to confirm authenticity (see last photos).
3 of the 4 chairs have two small holes on the back on the left side as shown in the photo, but this does not affect usability or aesthetic appeal.
Designed by Carlo Bartoli, Italian architect and designer born in Milan in 1931 and recipient of the Compasso d'Oro ADI lifetime achievement award.
Bartoli was the creator of many successful pieces, including the Gaia armchair, included in the permanent design collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Milan Triennale.
CAD chair dimensions: width 44 cm, depth 48 cm, height 72 cm, seat height 43 cm
For practicality and safety reasons the chairs will be shipped with the legs disassembled. They can be screwed on and off by hand without tools.
They will be well packaged. Tracked shipping. Extra-EU customs duties at the buyer's expense.
P.S.: after purchase, Italian buyers will be asked for their tax code for invoicing, via Catawiki messaging.
