Description from the seller
Vintage Bamboo and Reed Flower Stand/Basket – French Riviera Style, 1970s
A Timeless Touch of Elegance from the French Riviera
We are pleased to present this splendid vintage furnishing piece, which perfectly embodies the sophisticated yet relaxed aesthetic of the French Riviera in the 60s and 70s. This storage cart is not merely a functional object, but a true accent piece that carries the warmth and charm of the Mediterranean.
Design and Craftsmanship:
Crafted with artisanal expertise, the piece features a sturdy frame made of natural, thick-diameter bamboo canes. The main body is characterized by refined paneling with diagonal reed (or rattan) slats, creating a geometric pattern that catches the light and adds visual dynamism. The intricate reed-binding details at the corners testify to the high-quality workmanship typical of the era.
Style and Aesthetics:
This piece epitomizes the "Tropical Chic" or "Riviera Style," made famous by design icons such as Gabriella Crespi or by high-end productions from brands like Bonacina and Dal Vera. The warm color of aged bamboo complements refined bohemian interiors, seaside homes, or to add an organic Mid-Century touch to a modern space.
Dimensions: 56 x 56 cm | Height: 41 cm
Design: Inspired by the elegance of the Côte d'Azur, versatile for outdoor and indoor use
Durability: Durable material, weather-resistant and UV-proof
Use: Ideal for decorative plants, seasonal flowers, or small shrubs
