Description from the seller

Natural Fluorescent Spinel Crystal Cluster Specimen from Badakhshan, Afghanistan – 757 g

Offering an impressive natural Spinel crystal cluster specimen from the renowned Badakhshan mines of Afghanistan, with a total weight of 757 grams and dimensions of approximately 126 × 86 × 48 mm.

The specimen is particularly attractive for its natural purple Spinel crystals, which are prominently displayed across both the front and back sides of the matrix. Many of the crystals show natural terminations, while the front side features a distinctive arrangement of several crystals extending in a line across the specimen, creating an attractive natural crystal cluster formation.

The specimen has an interesting combination of purple Spinel crystals and a light-colored matrix, which provides a beautiful contrast and makes the crystals stand out clearly. The back side also contains numerous naturally formed Spinel crystals, allowing the specimen to be appreciated from multiple angles.

Another special feature is its fluorescence under UV light. The Spinel crystals show a reddish fluorescence, which is clearly visible in the accompanying photographs and adds an additional collectible feature to the specimen.

The specimen is self-standing on one side, making it suitable for display in a mineral collection, cabinet or showcase. Its substantial size, natural crystal formations, purple color and UV fluorescence make it an appealing collector's and display specimen.
