Amsterdam School / Art Deco clock – circa 1925–1935

A special asymmetric mantel clock in the Amsterdam School / Art Deco style. The wooden case is finished with various decorative veneers, including a handsome dark striped veneer around the dial and a root-like burl veneer on the front.

* Period: circa 1925–1935
* Style: Amsterdam School / Art Deco
* Movement: mechanical, probably 8-day
* Winding: 2 winding holes
* Chiming: mechanical striking on a spiral gong
* Clock movement brand: H–E, with a crowned emblem and four crossed windmills
* Serial number: 25172
* Additional marking: 183 / 14
* Dial: wooden/veneer dial with separate metal Arabic numerals
* Manufacturer: not yet identified with certainty; H. Endler seems unlikely based on the distinctive trademark
* Condition: nice original appearance with normal signs of use and age.
