Storage trunk - Bamboo, Wood

Elegant vintage rectangular storage chest made of rattan and reed/bamboo, with a rigid frame and artisanal woven craftsmanship.

The body is characterized by slender vertical elements in a warm brown tone, punctuated by decorative interlaced bands in a herringbone pattern. The lid features the same slat-weave work, adorned with longitudinal interlaced bands. The short sides are equipped with integrated handles, while the lid is hinged to the frame.

The interior preserves the original wooden bottom and shows signs and traces of use consistent with its age, visible in the photographs. Overall the chest preserves very well the character and appearance of the natural material.
