17 antique Dutch Delft tiles in manganese purple, dating from the 18th to the early 19th century.
This collection consists of 17 hand-painted, tin-glazed earthenware tiles. The motifs include biblical scenes, landscape and village scenes, traditional Dutch drawbridges, water- and windmills, a sailing vessel and a bird on a fence. Most tiles feature classic corner ornaments, including the traditional "oxhead" (ossekop) and spiderweb designs.
