Description from the seller
Original anatomical school chart 1955 – The Digestive Organs – Ernst Klett Verlag
Beautiful and original German anatomical school plate from 1955, with a very detailed illustration of the human digestive system.
The chart bears the title “Die Verdauungsorgane” and is published by Ernst Klett Verlag, Stuttgart. At the bottom it reads
Additionally originating from the Biological-Hygienic Teaching Material of the Federal Center for Health Education, Cologne, series The Human Body, No. 11.
The chart shows, among other things, the stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, esophagus, small and large intestine and various anatomical detail cross-sections. The soft colors and the typical 1950s style make this not only an educational object, but also a particularly decorative vintage piece.
The chart is still fitted with the original metal top and bottom rods, the original hanging cord and the old identification label on the upper rod.
Dimensions:
117 cm tall
92 cm wide
Condition:
Given its age, the chart is in a nice original vintage condition. There are normal signs of aging, slight discoloration and some creases visible. Two rubber end caps of the metal roller rods are missing. This does not affect the function or appearance of the chart.
The photos are part of the description and give a good impression of the condition.
A stunning object for lovers of vintage educational charts, anatomy, medical curiosa, 1950s design, industrial interiors or distinctive wall decoration.
