Occitania - Huguenots

Notarial documents from southern France (possibly Montpellier) dating from 1585.

Possibly written in Occitan.

Six large-format parchment sheets (about 34 x 25 cm), written on both sides.

In brown ink in legible handwriting.

On the last page with the dated written out:

à mil cinq cent quatre-vingt-quinze (1585)

Attached in a modern clean half-linen folder. The parchment folded in the middle, consistently somewhat browned, two pages with red staining (perhaps from a wax seal that is no longer present) occasionally a bit rubbed but overall in remarkably good preservation.
