Description from the seller
“THE RETURN OF THE PRINCE” – ULTRA LIMITED ART EDITION (10 COPIES)
Artist: SKE
Dive into the timeless legend of Japanese animation with The Return of the Prince, a powerful and iconic work signed SKE.
This creation pays direct homage to the heroic epic of Goldorak, through a masterful composition inspired by the original posters from the 70s–80s: vintage grain, period wear, bold colors, solemn staging, and epic breath.
SKE captures here the mythical moment of the hero’s return and the face-off with the supreme enemy. The Prince stands beside the steel titan, under the crushing gaze of the master of dark forces, in a scene rich with tension, nobility, and destiny. The mountainous background and the aerial flotilla reinforce the atmosphere of a final battle.
A work that fuses pure nostalgia, mythic power, Japanese pop culture, and contemporary street-pop aesthetics.

- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist with a versatile background who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic work.
He continually explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencil, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meanings, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has seen a noticeable rise. Winner of the first prize in Urban Master (2023), then named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as “Artist of the Month” by the Opulence Gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, solidifying his place on the contemporary art scene. Concurrently, SKE has made a name in the digital artworks market, a major trend in the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and texture studies define a style that is now essential.
SKE is undeniably an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.
Awarded & acclaimed artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work sits in a prestigious lineage. One sees in his line the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to remix Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons of our childhood. He stages Disney’s universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics, and superheroes is omnipresent: from Nintendo’s world and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: the sneaker world (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not forgetting mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured finishes evoking the glossy surface of a Jeff Koons or the facets of a Richard Orlinski.
This work is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your interior.
