Description from the seller

This elegant pair of open-arm salon chairs features a beautiful blend of late Georgian and French Neoclassical design elements. The square backrests are designed with an attractive double-curved "X" splat centered by a small circular rosette motif. The frames are subtly decorated with turned faux-bamboo detailing and rings, finished in an antiqued cream lacquer with hand-painted parcel-gilt accents highlighting the collars and borders. Supported by slender, tapering legs to the front and gently splayed legs to the rear, the chairs come fitted with padded drop-in seats freshly upholstered in a rich burgundy red velvet. They exhibit a charming, light distressed patina consistent with age, showing minor rubbing and superficial paint wear to the armrests and edges that enhances their authentic character.
