Colosseo fits into a category of highly successful products: service accessories. Furniture elements that change function depending on occasions and needs, transitioning, in the Colosseo case, from coffee table to pouf. In designing this new object, Fukasawa arrived at the desired form by envisioning a solid in the shape of an inverted truncated cone lightened by arch-shaped depressions that outline its surface, creating an affinity with the structure of the famous Roman arena from which it takes its name. Made of rigid polyurethane lacquered in numerous glossy colors.
