Historical-artistic description:
An exceptionally refined and elegant piece, this stipo cabinet represents a highly rare example of period cabinet-making: in fact, a center-piece, designed to be displayed freely in a salon, as it is entirely veneered in pale walnut burl and decorated with complex Boulle-style inlays on all four sides (front, back, and sides).
The front door opens to a spacious interior compartment, while the exterior is elongated by slightly recessed uprights adorned with bronze applications.
This precious furnishing comes from the refined salons of a historic Venetian noble residence and forms a pair (pendant) with the matching center table from the same collection. For its construction quality, all-around finish, and condition, it represents a piece of great interest for discerning collectors and exclusive interiors.
