AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Rare French Le Verre Français / Verreries Schneider mushroom table lamp, dating from the Art Nouveau–Art Deco period

The lamp is made of beautiful polychrome marbled art glass, displaying rich shades of salmon pink, orange, violet, blue, green and yellow. The slender glass stem rises from a sculptural flared base and supports a large domed mushroom shade with a striking cloud-like mottled decoration.

A particularly attractive feature is the patinated metal mount decorated with three finely modelled dragonflies positioned around the shade, giving the lamp a distinctive naturalistic Art Nouveau character.

Engraved signatures are visible on the glass and are documented in the photographs. The lamp is also shown illuminated, revealing the remarkable depth and warmth of the colours.

The electrical system is present and working. Some electrical components appear to have been updated during the lamp's lifetime.

Total height 39 cm / 15.35 in; shade diameter 23 cm / 9.06 in and height 13 cm / 5.12 in; base diameter 14 cm / 5.51 in and height 32 cm / 12.60 in; total weight 1.728 kg / 3.81 lb.

Good antique condition with normal signs of age and use. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description.
