Brabantse kast, soms melkkast genoemd, Zuidelijke Nederlanden - Cupboard - Oak

Brabant cupboard, sometimes called a milk cabinet.
That could be the current Dutch North Brabant or Belgian Brabant.
Early furniture, with clear early stylistic features; the notches along the panels are already seen in medieval furniture. see the detail photos.
This cabinet is certainly not medieval but rather early, dating to the 17th century.
The inlay work is nicely regular, with patterns that are centuries old.
Beautiful patina.
The locks are later. no keys.
Except for a few small restorations, original.
Nice top panel also with a beautiful patina.

Bids below the reserve are not honored.
