Description from the seller

Austrian Jugendstil Art Nouveau Ceramic Garniture - Julius Dressler (Attributed) - Bohemia, ca. 1900-1910

Description:
Atmospheric and rare Art Nouveau / Jugendstil ceramic garniture, consisting of a slender two-handled vase and a matching elongated jardinière / cache-pot. Manufactured in Central Europe (Austria-Hungary / Bohemia, very likely the Julius Dressler workshop in Bílina) around 1900–1910.

The garniture is executed in a striking and rare color palette of high-gloss aubergine and lilac glaze, decorated with stylized floral medallions in green, yellow and pink. The clean, organic handles show the whip-like lines characteristic of the period.
