Description from the seller

Fraraccio – Sfilato Caccia – Traditional Italian hunting knife – NEW

Description

Put up for auction is this splendid Fraraccio Sfilato Caccia, made in the early 2000s by the historic Frosolone-based manufacturer, one of the most important centers of traditional Italian cutlery.

This model represents one of the most appreciated interpretations of the classic Italian hunting knife. The slender traditional line of the Sfilato is paired with the distinctive brass guard equipped with shell extractors for 12 and 16 gauge cartridges, a detail that directly recalls hunting culture and the ancient traditions of Italian hunters.

The knife features an elegant black glossy ABS handle, durable and practical to use, adorned with robust metal fittings and the characteristic polished brass guard. The 9.5 cm blade is made of satin-finished 420 INOX stainless steel, a material valued for reliability, good edge retention, and corrosion resistance.

For generations the “Caccia” model has accompanied hunters, farmers, and outdoor enthusiasts, proving ideal for everyday uses of Italian rural tradition. At the same time it has always been an elegant pocket knife used during convivial moments and in gatherings typical of Mediterranean culture.

The harmonious lines, the brass guard with extractors, and Fraraccio’s build quality make this specimen particularly interesting for both collectors of traditional Italian knives and enthusiasts of artisanal cutlery.
