Description from the seller

A wonderful vase or bowl in Venetian glass from the 1950s, made on the island of Murano (Venice), Italy. Made by Aureliano Toso and designed by Dino Martens. The design is known as Mezza Filigrana. Decorated with alternating stripes of white and orange filigree and copper aventurine in an asymmetric shape.
The colors used are the ones typical of that period, also used for larger vases: white and orange.
Hand-blown artistic glass, handmade; the only imperfections are those inherent to handmade work.
Excellent condition, no chipping or cracking.
In those years Martens designed many similar objects for the glassworks of the Venetian master, from 1938 to 1960.

The biomorphic style of that period can be found in specialized books such as the book "Vetreria Aureliano Toso, Murano 1938 - 1968" by Marc Heiremans (2016).
In the book you will find the same identical style, colors and shape of the vase or bowl. (pages 163-164)

The same Martens called this style: "Mezza Filigrana" or "Filigrana Semplice"

This item comes from a Venetian house, together with other pieces from that period, and has remained in the same family for over 70 years (the purchase indeed was made in the 1950s)
