HISTORIQUE/PRÉSENTATION:
Launched in the mid-1980s, the Peugeot 205 GTI 1.6 has become the quintessential icon of French GTIs, renowned for its agility and dynamic performance.
This example, first registered in December 1987 (model year 1988), underwent a major full restoration in 2026. With 284,000 km on the odometer, the car has covered only about 400 km since the completion of the work. The car starts effortlessly hot or cold and is ready to cover any distance.
BODYWORK/PAINT:
• New complete paint giving the bodywork in excellent condition.
• New body seals, windshield, wipers, front headlights, rear lights, turn signals and parking lights.
• Fully new badges and red bumper trim.
INTERIOR:
• Upholstery entirely renewed and steering wheel restored.
• Equipped with original options: sunroof and power windows.
• Dash, floor mats, boot liner, and cargo area lining are new.
• New heater control panel, module, and radiator.
MECHANICS:
• 1.6L 115 hp engine fully rebuilt: liners, pistons, bearings, timing kit, radiator, coolant and intake hoses, battery and some engine sensors new.
• Clutch kit, transmissions, exhaust silencers and front/rear suspension components new.
• Brakes, suspension and tires new.
DOCUMENTS:
• French registration document (carte grise) valid in the seller’s name.
• Virgin Technical Inspection valid as of 03/07/2026.
• History of invoices dating back to the 1990s.
