Kerokko Demetan - 1 Showa Retro - 1973

Kerokko Demetan (Demetan) – Showa Retro – Vintage signed illustration printed – Tatsunoko Production

Rare Japanese vintage illustration dedicated to Kerokko Demetan (けろっこデメタン), known as Demetan – The Little Frog, a famous Tatsunoko Production anime first broadcast in Japan in 1973.

The piece belongs to the type of memorabilia commonly defined in Japan as “Showa Retro,” an expression used for vintage items dating from or linked to the Shōwa era (1926-1989).

The color illustration of Demetan is printed on a rigid cardboard backing and bears in the lower-right corner a signature in Japanese characters.

On the lower edge the original Japanese markings are also clearly visible, including the Tatsunoko Production reference and Yajima/Yashima.

Dimensions: about 27 × 26 cm.

The item comes from Japan.

The backing shows yellowing, small stains, patina and normal signs of aging, particularly on the edges and corners, as clearly documented in the photographs.

An interesting piece of original Japanese Showa-era memorabilia, dedicated to one of Tatsunoko’s classic 1970s anime.
