Description from the seller

Of course. For eBay, I recommend highlighting ACMAT, VLRA, TPK 4.35, 1/32, 17th RCS, presentation model and display case, while remaining cautious about attributing it to Intermaquettes since we cannot examine the underside.

eBay Title
RARE ACMAT VLRA TPK 4.35 1/32 Military Display Model under Glass 17th RCS Intermaquettes?

Detailed description to copy on eBay
RARE ACMAT VLRA 4x4 TPK 4.35 MILITARY MODEL – LARGE SCALE APPROX. 1/32 – UNDER-DISPLAY DIORAMA – 17th RCS
I am offering for sale this very interesting and somewhat uncommon ACMAT military model, depicting a VLRA 4x4 all-terrain vehicle from the TPK 4.35 family, presented in a true under-glass diorama.
This is not a small common military miniature: the vehicle alone measures about 20 cm in length, 7 cm in width, and about 7 cm in height.
The complete set is particularly imposing, with a display case of about:
35 cm long × 18 cm deep × 16 cm high.
The vehicle is shown in a military configuration with its cabin open, its rear tarpaulin, its transport benches, its side spare wheel, its equipment and various bodywork details.
The model is integrated into a terrain diorama that includes vegetation, a ground surface reproducing a natural environment, and landscaping elements.
ACMAT IDENTIFICATION PLATE
One particularly interesting element of this piece is the presence on the base of a plate bearing the designation ACMAT/ALM and the vehicle reference.
It appears to indicate:
ACMAT – ALM Division
VLRA 4x4 – TPK 4.35 SMT
This identification is coherent with the VLRA family (Vehicles for Liaison, Reconnaissance and Support) produced by ACMAT.
GIFT TO THE 17th RCS
A second plate fixed to the base bears the inscription:
“GIFT FROM THE LIEUTENANTS OF THE 17th R.C.S”
This element gives this model additional interest as a regiment souvenir or gift.
The 17th RCS corresponds to the 17th Regiment of Command and Support of the French Army.
It is therefore unlikely to be merely a miniature placed into a display case later by a collector, but rather a presentation set assembled as a military gift/souvenir.
INTERMAQUETTES CLUE – ACMAT PRESENTATION MODEL
Research surrounding this model is particularly interesting.
It is documented that the French modeller Intermaquettes produced large-scale ACMAT VLRA models, notably at 1/32, for promotional needs of ACMAT.
These large models were intended for presentation and exhibitions, unlike the small industrial miniatures commonly produced at scales such as 1/50 or 1/43.
ACMAT VLRA 4.35 troop transport models at 1/32 attributed to Intermaquettes are documented in literature dedicated to ACMAT military miniatures.
The dimensions, overall configuration and several features of the example offered here are compatible with this category of professional 1/32 models.
Intermaquettes documented models could notably use white metal, as well as various metal elements and a thermoformed tarp.
IMPORTANT:
Since the display case for this specimen is currently closed, I intentionally did not attempt to dismantle it to access the underside of the model.
Thus, it has not been possible to search for any signature or mark under the vehicle.
For this reason, attribution to Intermaquettes is proposed as a serious lead but not guaranteed.
The buyer is invited to form their own opinion from the many photographs.
APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS
Model of the truck:
Length: 20 cm
Width: 7 cm
Height: about 7 cm
Display case/diorama:
Length: 35 cm
Depth: 18 cm
Height: 16 cm
Measurements are indicative and may vary by a few millimeters.
CONDITION
Old item sold in its current state and as shown in the photographs.
The model is still housed inside its display case.
Possible presence of dust, small marks, signs of age or wear on the display case, base and diorama, normal for an old item of this type.
I have not performed any dismantling or restoration in order to preserve the integrity of the set.
The photographs are an integral part of the description.
INTEREST FOR COLLECTORS
Especially interesting for a collection devoted to:
French military vehicles – ACMAT – VLRA – TPK vehicles – old military miniatures – professional models – French militaria – regimental souvenirs – 17th RCS – French Army vehicles – 1/32 models – items of military tradition.
The combination of a large model + diorama + display case + ACMAT/ALM plate + dedication from the lieutenants of the 17th RCS makes this a distinctive collector/ regimental memory piece.
