Description from the seller
Pair of Vintage Table Lamps by Laque Line – Handmade Art Glass (Verre Églomisé) – France, 1970s/1980s
An exceptional, rare matching pair of Mid-Century Modern table lamps designed and produced by the French art studio Laque Line during the 1970s/1980s. Both pieces retain their original manufacturer foil labels on the base, stating: "Pièce unique réalisée à la main - Laque Line - Made in France.
Because each base was manually decorated by craftsmen, no two patterns are entirely identical. Finding a beautifully matched pair in this color gradient is highly collectible.
The Craftsmanship & Design:
The lamps feature a classic, elegant amphora-inspired blown glass body. They are decorated using an advanced verre églomisé (patinated or reverse-lacquered glass) technique. The inside of the glass is meticulously coated with metallic oxides, creating an incredible marbled effect. The gradient shifts through deep emerald greens, vibrant ocean blues, and warm earth tones, beautifully accented with subtle projections of gold dust that catch and reflect light brilliantly.
In very good condition.
A small dent at the back of the lampshade.
E14 ( the smaller type) fitting.
