Vintage table lamp designed by Raul Barbieri and Giorgio Marianelli for Tronconi, produced in Italy in the 1970s, with a black metal body and a heavy round cast-iron base, dimensions 60 cm wide by 22 cm deep and 39 cm high, one fitting, and in good used condition and fully functional.

Raul Barbieri & Giorgio Marianelli for Tronconi - Vintage table lamp / desk lamp - 1970s
Splendid and rare table lamp or desk lamp from the mid-century modern era, designed by Raul Barbieri and Giorgio Marianelli in the 1970s for the prestigious Italian manufacturer Tronconi.
This iconic model stands out for a geometric, slim design, typically Space Age / Postmodern. A twin lamp (in white variant) is famous for appearing as a prop in the cult Italian film “Il burbero” (1986).
• Designer: Raul Barbieri (b. 1946) & Giorgio Marianelli (1939-1998)

• Materials: Heavy round base in cast iron with a rough finish, adjustable black-painted metal arm and shade, joint in black rigid plastic.
• Operation: Fully functional (original switch on the back of the lampholder).
Good vintage condition – Used with signs of age and staining.
The lamp is structurally sound and stable. It presents some typical signs of wear with small paint chips on the base and on the metal shaft, which attest to its authenticity and its era (see detailed photos). Original period cabling.
