A pair of elegant Art Deco bedside cabinets from Italy, dating to 1930–1940, made of wood with walnut burl veneer and square legs, each with a spacious top drawer and a lower cabinet, dimensions 64 cm high by 54 cm wide by 34 cm deep, one of the two lacking a handle.
Description from the seller
Elegant and sturdy pair of original Art Deco bedside tables, made in Italy dating from the late 1930s to the 1940s. The furniture stands out for its geometric design and square feet that give a solid, architectural line. The fronts of the doors and drawers are adorned with a splendid walnut burl veneer in a highly decorative herringbone pattern with contrasting grain. Each nightstand features a roomy upper drawer that slides out and a lower compartment with a door. The handles are integrated directly into the wood to keep the silhouette clean and linear.
The nightstands are in solid structural condition. They show normal wear marks on the finish and small patina flecks consistent with the age of the piece (see photos carefully, which are part of the description).
These two nightstands belong to a bedroom set of the same style and period that will be auctioned soon.
The two nightstands are in good condition, have never been restored and therefore retain their original patina and the natural signs of time that confirm their age.
One of the two is without a handle.
Measurements:
Height 64 cm
Width 54 cm
Depth 34 cm
Free pickup at the buyer’s expense in Rome, southern area.
The furniture will be laid out along the street, without packaging.
