Published by Jacob van Biesen in Arnhem. The Gelderland cartographer Nicolaas Geelkercken was responsible for the maps and the special city plans with profile views. The engravings are reduced views of his earlier maps, which appeared in Isaac Pontanus's work (1639). Research has shown that the maps produced by Geelkercken correspond to the current maps by about 90%. His city plans were later used by Joan Blaeu and Johannes Janssonius for their City Books.
