Five natural specimens from the historic mining localities of Herja, Cavnic and Rodna, classic sources of sulphide, carbonate and sulphate minerals. Most of these mines are now closed (Cavnic since 2008), so documented-locality material is increasingly sought after by collectors.
Gypsum, Herja: 392 g, ~10 × 10 cm. Abundant crystal formations in cream to honey tones; strong three-dimensional display piece.
Sphalerite with pyrite, Rodna: 223 g, ~9 × 6 cm. Dark sphalerite with metallic pyrite, a classic Romanian sulphide association.
White barite, Cavnic: 153 g, ~11 × 6 cm. Aggregate of delicate, elongated white crystals.
Calcite, Cavnic: 549 g, ~12 × 8 cm. Substantial specimen with abundant crystallization and excellent cabinet presence.
Siderite on pyrrhotite with pyrite, Herja: 31 g, ~8 × 5 cm. Small but distinctive; brownish siderite on a dark sulphide matrix.
