Fascinating antique rectangular frame from the first half of the 20th century, characterized by an elegant two-tone effect. The supporting structure is made of solid wood, enriched on the front with a rich and detailed raised stucco decoration.
The design is distinguished by a sophisticated color contrast: the inner central band features a dark finish with raised vegetal sprout motifs, framed by external and internal moldings entirely gilded with bas-relief floral decorations (leaves, buds and stylized tassels). The back reveals the splendid patina of antique wood and the classic contemporaneous corner joints. A piece of great character, perfect both to enhance antique paintings and prints, and to be set up as a decorative mirror.

The item presents in good general condition, structurally solid and intact. It shows a magnificent patina of time and gilding.
