Coffee table by Renato Zevi in two-tone metal with a Hollywood Regency design, featuring a rectangular tempered glass top, dimensions 130 cm wide by 60 cm deep by 43 cm high, made in Italy in the 1970s and in good vintage condition.
Description from the seller
Renato Zevi sophisticated coffee table, Hollywood Regency style that set the trend in the 1970s. Its structure stands out for its bold geometric lines and an elegant two-tone finish, combining exterior profiles of bright chrome metal with refined interior details in gold brass. On this frame rests a thick rectangular top of tempered clear glass, a classic element in Zevi's designs that adds visual lightness and highlights the metal architecture of the base.
The table is in vintage good condition, preserving its original shine. It presents only a chip in the glass on one corner (see photo), light signs of use and superficial patina on the metal and micro-scratches on the glass typical of its age, none of which compromise the aesthetic beauty or the solid structural stability of this collectible piece.
Renato Zevi was a prominent Italian furniture designer (active mainly between the 1960s and 1990s) who became one of the key figures of the Hollywood Regency movement and international Mid-Century Modern.
Zevi was characterized by a sensual, glamorous approach with very clean architectural lines. His preferred materials were
Luxury collaborations: He manufactured and distributed much of his most famous collections through his own firm (Zevi and C.), but he also designed capsule collections for global luxury giants of the era such as Roche Bobois in France and the prestigious North American furniture manufacturer Selig.
