Gold nuggets from Mauritania, origin Guelb Ndour, Tiris Zemmour region, in the mineral form Pépites de Mauritanie 1.433 gramme.
Description from the seller
Discovery zone
23°33’ North
08°06’ West
These nuggets come from the desert region of Tiris Zemmour in northern Mauritania, more than a hundred kilometers from an area named Guelb Ndour.
Gold mining in this country was reserved for a large industrial company only.
But since 2016 individual exploitation is allowed using metal detectors.
I offer them as I found them; I have only cleaned them with soapy water.
The gold from this region is quite pure, generally its purity is around 950 to 980 parts per thousand, which corresponds to 22.80 to 23.50 carats.
Although gold mining has become one of Mauritania’s main resources, nuggets are fairly rare because almost all the gold is melted into ingots that are then sent to Dubai.
All photos are taken in natural daylight.
I photographed these nuggets as honestly and as precisely as possible using daylight.
Please note that differences in screen settings and ambient lighting can lead to variations in color, saturation, and perceived tones.
The nuggets you will receive are, of course, the ones shown in the photos.
I offer fast, secure, and discreet shipping in a non-bendable C5 envelope (162mm x 229mm) by French La Poste registered mail.
