Candleholder (2) - Bronze, Brass - Old tripod candlesticks

A couple of old identical three-legged candelabras in bronze/brass, equipped with goat-like split hooves as feet and zoomorphic heads, in Directoire/Empire style.

The motif comes directly from classical antiquity and was particularly popular in the French Directoire and Empire period.

Three separate slender animal legs, ending at the top in stylized animal heads, mounted around the central trunk.

These candlesticks are 24.7 cm tall and, measured at the feet, 8 cm wide and 8 cm deep.

Deliberately not polished.

The photos show the true beauty.
