Description from the seller
Sansui T-60 analog stereo tuner in a classic silver uitvoering, designed and built in Japan by Sansui Electric Co., Ltd. (circa 1979–1981). Technically in 100% good functioning condition with precise tuning, stable transmitter lock and interference-free reception; visually in neat vintage condition with light signs of use commensurate with age.
Within Sansui's respected tuner assortment from the early 1980s, the T-60 was designed as the perfect visual and technical partner for amplifiers such as the A-60 and A-80. The tuner combines a traditional, ultra-smooth mechanical tuning knob with a hybrid display: a classic large analog tuning scale paired with a digital frequency display and LED signal meters. An important technical feature is Sansui's Digitally Quartz-Locked tuning circuit. As soon as the user releases the tuning knob, the quartz circuit locks the selected FM frequency rock-solid, thereby completely eliminating temperature drift and frequency drift.
In terms of sound, the T-60 delivers a warm, dynamic and notably quiet radio image with excellent channel separation. The front-end uses a low-noise dual-gate MOS-FET and a precisely tuned capacitor bank for high sensitivity, allowing even weaker stations to be received with minimal background noise and low distortion. With its brushed aluminum front, lit scale and tight toggle switches, the T-60 embodies the beloved vintage Japanese audio-build quality.
