Description from the seller
Gorgeous vintage 49-piece Guy Degrenne cutlery set for 12 people, presented in its original box.
Beautiful French set from the Guy Degrenne house, dating from the late 1970s.
This model, avant-garde at the time of its creation in the early 1970s, combines an elegant, structured line with a refined geometric pattern on the handles.
The utensils bear the Guy Degrenne markings and the knives feature the mark « FORGÉ – INOX », indicating forged stainless steel blades.
The set is kept in its original Guy Degrenne box, with an orange compartmented interior, which is a true asset for presentation and collection.
Composition:
12 table forks
12 table spoons
12 table knives with forged stainless steel blades
12 coffee spoons
1 serving ladle
Total: 49 pieces
Brand and manufacture
House: Guy Degrenne
Model: Blois
Era: around 1974
Material: stainless steel
Markings: GUY DEGRENNE / FORGÉ – INOX on the knives
Origin: France
The Blois model is documented as a Guy Degrenne creation from the early 1970s, with examples dated 1974 and a 49-piece composition matching the one presented here.
Aesthetics:
The handles feature an elegant geometric décor composed of fillets and relief motifs, with a particularly refined finish at their ends.
The metal surfaces offer a beautiful shine and striking reflections. The knives, with their forged stainless steel blades, harmoniously complete the set.
This cutlery set carries the charm typical of fine French productions from the 1970s: elegant, functional, and designed to last.
Condition:
Very good overall condition considering its age.
The utensils show a nice general shine. Very light micro-scratches or signs of use may be present, normal for a vintage service that has been stored and used over the years.
The original box shows marks and storage traces related to its age, but remains perfectly interesting and greatly contributes to the authenticity and presentation of the set.
