Autographed letter by Jules Vallès, addressed to Edmond About, undated.
Written in black ink on a double sheet of laid paper.
Jules Vallès enquires about the health of his colleague and insists on meeting the next day, fervently emphasizing the date of "24 February!!".
"My dear About,
I very much wish to see you. Tomorrow (24 February!!) will you be at home - I was told you were ill. Can we come anyway?
Please reply with a word: I would like to talk with you as soon as possible.
Yours truly."
