Description from the seller
An antique accumulator controller, a portable voltmeter-ammeter, probably from the early third of the 20th century. An electrical control instrument designed to test batteries and accumulators, fitted with an analog dial graduated in volts and amperes. A lovely old construction combining a turned wooden handle, a brass frame and contact points, as well as a corrugated metal ribbon resistor. The system allowed making direct contact with the terminals of an accumulator in order to monitor its electrical state. An old technical instrument featuring a beautiful brass patina, natural wear on the wood, and signs of use in keeping with its age. A beautiful collectible for lovers of old electricity, scientific instruments, garage equipment, vintage automobiles, workshop and industrial heritage.
Highly sought after in the worlds of industrial design, scientific curiosities, vintage medical technology, laboratory optics, steampunk, and rare measuring instruments. Ideal for a collector, industrial loft decoration, cabinet of curiosities, scientific display case (theodolite, microscope, sextant, compass).
