Description from the seller
ICA Ideal 225 9×12 cm (c. 1919) – Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 4.5/150 mm – Compur
ICA Ideal 225 Plate Camera 9×12 cm – Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 4.5/150 mm – Compur
Very well preserved historic ICA Ideal 225 plate camera in 9×12 cm format, probably dating from around 1919.
The camera comes from an estate and is in remarkably good condition for its age. The housing shows only minor age-related signs of wear.
Camera and mechanics:
The bellows are supple and extend cleanly. There are no cracks or holes visible; the bellows appear light-tight. The mechanism can be operated and the Compur central shutter fires. A precise check of the shutter speeds was not performed.
Lens:
Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 1:4.5 / 150 mm, lens no. 395592. The lenses appear clean and clear. The optical condition is clearly visible in the photos.
Accessories:
original leather carrying case
original Perutz film-pack magazine for 9×12 cm
The Perutz magazine has not been opened. The numbers 9 and 10 are visible on the magazine. Whether there is still film or other material inside could not be checked and cannot be guaranteed.
