Description from the seller
TO NOTE:
• No reserve (No Reserve)
• A single owner since registration in 1994
• Approximately 50,000 km traveled
• Distinguished Daimler variant with a 6.0-liter V12 engine
HISTORY/OVERALL DESCRIPTION:
The Daimler Double Six represents the pinnacle of refined luxury from British engineering on the Jaguar XJ platform. The XJ40/X300 generation equipped with the 6.0-liter V12 engine stands out as one of the smoothest and most sophisticated twelve-cylinder saloons of its era. Daimler’s badging adds extra exclusivity over its Jaguar counterparts, featuring distinctive elements such as the ribbed upper and lower grilles and handcrafted interior finishes. This 1994 example has belonged to a single owner throughout its life. After the owner’s passing a few years ago, the vehicle was left unused, accumulating about 10 years idle. The odometer shows around 50,000 km.
BODYWORK/PAINT:
According to the seller, the structure has no collision or past accident damage. The car was left under a sun-exposed cover for a time, which has led to a loss of gloss and significant paint deterioration on the roof, hood, and trunk lid. Additionally, the body shows some cosmetic scratches and light parking marks typical of use and storage.
INTERIOR:
The cabin is kept in very good overall condition. The original ivory leather upholstery shows very little wear on the seats, preserving its firmness and texture. The dashboard, door panels, and consoles feature fine wood veneers with moldings and engravings bearing the legend "V12" and Daimler Double Six commemorative plates on the door sills. It shows minimal visual defects consistent with its age and original preservation.
MECHANICAL:
At the time it was last used, the car ran optimally. However, after roughly 10 years out of use, it requires a full mechanical inspection and a thorough tune-up before starting up or regular use.
DOCUMENTS:
The vehicle was temporarily deregistered/administratively removed for failing its MOT (ITV) and for not paying road taxes during its period of inactivity. Being a classic car, it can be re-registered in the traffic registry once it has undergone the mechanical recommissioning and passes the vehicle inspection (ITV).
LOCATION AND LOGISTICS:
The car is located in Madrid, Spain. Prospective buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle before bidding.
To arrange an inspection appointment, please contact Catawiki. The buyer will have a 20-day storage period at the current location after the lot is awarded. Transportation, ownership transfer, or vehicle rehabilitation arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
