The 2007 vintage is regarded as one of the absolute top years in the Southern Rhône Valley. This wine is currently at its peak: beautifully ripe, with a fantastic balance between ripe red fruit, refined spiciness, and tertiary aging notes.
Last week I myself opened a bottle from the same batch and it was truly sublime — exactly the complexity, structure and elegance you would expect from a top Châteauneuf from this fantastic year. Because the quality is now so beautiful, I’m happy to pass these two remaining bottles on to another enthusiast who will enjoy them at the right moment.
