Description from the seller
Rare in this condition, here is a Thorens TD 184, little sister of the TD 124, in excellent shape, completely overhauled — see photos; lubrication has been done, everything works perfectly, even the auto-stop at the end of the record.
It is equipped with an excellent stereo BSR cartridge.
This is a semi-automatic turntable (stop at end of record and the tonearm lifts).
• Design: Known for its original format selector in the shape of a telephone dial (for 7, 10 and 12-inch records) and its integrated BL104 aluminum tonearm.
• Drive: Hybrid system combining a main belt and a secondary idler drive, borrowed from the famous TD 124 (E 50 motor).
The original plinth is also in excellent condition.
It can play 16, 33, 45, and 78 rpm thanks to its reversible stylus.
It will be shipped in a large and very sturdy package with tracking and transport insurance.
You can also visit radioteppaz.fr, which is our little museum/site; you’ll see some collectible devices that are not for sale but enjoyable to look at.
A small reminder for some: auctions are not a game, so when something is bought... it must be paid quickly and not 3 weeks later, or not at all! just a matter of respect for one another...
