Green natural fluorite sphere carved from a single crystal from China, with a mirror-polished surface, weighing 1061 g and 86 mm in diameter.
Description from the seller
This sphere was carved from a single, large natural fluorite crystal sourced from China. Fluorite, typically, tends to form fragile and well-defined crystals, difficult to obtain in masses large and compact enough to allow a perfect polish as in this case. The surface, mirror-polished, reveals a complex internal architecture of cubic crystals and translucent bands alternating in shades of emerald green, turquoise, and deep blue, with golden reflections created by thin natural inclusions. Each corner of the sphere seems to enclose a mineral landscape, a play of light and transparencies that varies with the incidence of light. Fluorite is a fascinating mineral, known since ancient times for its perfect crystal symmetry and its fluorescence under ultraviolet light, from which the name itself derives. In the past it was called “fluorescent spar” and used both as an ornamental mineral and as a carving stone. Scientifically, it is a calcium fluoride (CaF2), belonging to the cubic system, with a hardness of 4 on the Mohs scale. Symbolically, fluorite is considered a stone of mental clarity and harmony, capable of balancing energies and aiding concentration. In Eastern cultures, the green variety in particular is associated with regeneration and spiritual renewal. This sphere is ideal both as a meditation or energy object and as a decorative element for collectors and mineral enthusiasts.
