Stage One - Aluminium is a 3D-printed object by Vincent Decat (France), made from aluminium and bio-plastic, finished in argent, measuring 19 cm wide, 17 cm deep and 8 cm high, weighing 1 kg, dating to 2025, in near‑mint unused condition.
Description from the seller
My pieces are conceived to be companions rather than possessions.
I give my objects organic and animated characteristics, hoping that people will grow attached to them as to pets.
Vincent Decat is a Paris-based artist-designer, a graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven, who explores the boundaries between design and sculpture. He envisions the durability of an object not merely through its materials, but above all through the emotional bond it elicits. By making his objects almost alive, they become companions that one must care for, keep, and cherish.
Stage One is imagined as a living being: it is born, grows, and evolves. Inspired by embryos, it embodies evolution and becomes a living element to which one becomes attached.
This piece was 3D printed and then hand-gilded with sheets of aluminum.
