Description from the seller
Delicately crafted late 19th-century occasional table or guéridon, inspired by models of the Louis XVI style and made entirely of cast and chiselled bronze. The piece features an elegant circular frame supported by three slender legs joined by a lower trilobed platform, a classic composition that provides solidity and visual lightness in equal measure.
The upper ring is distinguished by rich pierced ornamentation inspired by plants, with garlands, leaves and scrolls finely worked that evoke Neoclassical French taste reinterpreted in the 19th century. The legs, with a stylized profile and relief decoration, descend gracefully to rest on curved feet of great ornamental character, creating a refined and balanced silhouette. In the center, a small decorative between-stay reinforces the structure and contributes to the visual appeal of the ensemble.
The original top has been replaced at a later time by a circular transparent glass cover, an addition that allows full appreciation of the quality of the bronze work and provides a lighter, more contemporary reading of the piece without taking away from its elaborate design.
Due to its modest dimensions and its rich decorative presence, this guéridon is ideal as an auxiliary table, a living room table, or a stand for ornamental objects. Its combination of Neoclassical tradition, artisanal quality, and the nobility of materials makes it a decorative piece of great elegance, representative of French production inspired by the Louis XVI style during the 19th century.
Certified shipment and good packaging.
