Large copperplate engraving from 1756, etched by Giovanni Battista Piranesi and published in the work "Le Antichità Romane". The print depicts the ruins of a Roman-era burial chamber located along the Via Appia Antica, near the Basilica of Saint Sebastian outside the walls in Rome. The etched plate measures 42 x 50.5 cm. The print is in good condition except for slight edge wear. Printed on handmade rag paper.
