AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Exceptional German porcelain figurine, (1901-1920), Macaw Parrot, likely by Ernst Bohne & Söhne, Rudolstadt. The bird with vibrant tropical plumage (predominantly bright red, cobalt blue, saffron yellow and green) is beautifully sculpted and perched on a leafy tree trunk. The piece features an entirely hand-painted decoration, offering great finesse in the detail of the feathers, the eyes, and the trunk textures. The botanical elements and some plumage details are rendered in relief, giving the sculpture a naturalistic look. Technique: Hard-paste porcelain molded and shaped with hand-painted and polychrome glazed decoration. Mark and authenticity: - Presence under the base of the famous crowned N, printed in green under glaze, signature used by the Ernst Bohne & Söhne, Rudolstadt, in the Capodimonte style. - Numbering: Mold/model number 28 incised in relief in the clay on the rim of the base. - Atelier reference: Decorator number 39019 handwritten under the base. Excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. See photos that are part of the description. A second macaw parrot from the same manufacture will be put up for sale. Follow my profile. These are two matching "paired" macaws, not identical but designed to face each other. Very careful packaging and fast delivery.
