Description from the seller

Royal Brierley - Crystal carafe with a silver-plated ball stopper

England, circa 1960

Royal Brierley, the most famous crystal label in England, is the oldest name in the English crystal industry. Founded in 1776 and handcrafted in Great Britain.

Elegant crystal carafe from the English Royal Brierley (Stourbridge, England), signed on the underside with the distinctive script signature. The carafe has an oval, barrel-shaped body with broad vertical facets, alternating with bands of diamond-cut or pyramid-cut facets and fan-shaped, pointed-arch-like cut decorations around the shoulder and base. The foot rim is finely notched. The neck flares slightly into a faceted collar.

The carafe is closed with a smooth, ball-shaped metal stopper with a conical fit. The metal is silver-colored, a beautiful modern counterpart to the classic crystal work.

In good vintage condition with light signs of use and small dark spots.

approximately 10.5 cm D

Will be carefully packaged and insured when shipped.
