Description from the seller
Important and rich lot of hardware and artistic embellishments for restoration – Late 19th / Early 20th century (69 pieces)
Splendid and imposing collection of 69 art hardware elements dating from the period between the late 19th and the first half of the 20th century, optimal for cabinetmakers, restorers and antique collectors. The lot stands out for the extreme variety of models, shapes and finishes, offering a valuable reserve of vintage components for philological restoration of furniture, drawers, display cases and doors.
The selection is characterized by a strong visual and aesthetic impact, alternating sculptural-looking pieces with decorative elements of exquisite workmanship, capable of enriching and restoring authenticity and historical coherence to antique items.
The pieces attest to the different construction techniques of the period: the main framework and supports are made of cast metal, others in brass, etc. For maximum transparency, it is specified that the elements with more elaborate and plastically designed drawings were made in stamped and hot-embossed sheet metal, a refined technique that allowed artisans of the time to obtain ornamental details with very high definition and stylistic sharpness.
All pieces retain their precious original patina intact and have not undergone recent cleaning interventions, preserving their historical charm unaltered.
Structurally sound, as found in the photos. Please closely examine the rich photo gallery, which is an integral and substantial part of this description, to assess the variety, details and condition of each individual component.
