AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Special Art Deco Bulle glass-domed clock from France

Beautiful original Bulle clock from the 1930s, finished in chrome with gray and blue accents and a silvered dial.

As with all my clocks, the movement has been thoroughly cleaned in an ultrasonic bath and re-oiled. The clock runs well and operates on a standard 1.5-volt battery. Under normal conditions, a battery can power the clock for more than a year.

Bulle clocks belong to the earliest electric clocks and run on a simple 1.5-volt battery. The special thing about this system is that the pendulum itself drives the gear train. Inside the pendulum there is a small electromagnetic coil that receives a short magnetic impulse with every movement. This keeps the pendulum in motion and creates a fascinating interplay of mechanics and electronics. The visible movement makes this clock a particularly decorative and technically interesting collectible.

Shipping

The movement and the glass dome are packed separately and with great care. They are then placed together in a larger shipping box to minimize the risk of transport damage.

A clear manual for using the clock is included.
