AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Canon Camera Co. Japan No. 13064 Serenar f : 3.5 - 28 mm. Sublime lens came to market in October 1951 (thus 75 years ago), a construction with 6 Gauss elements in 4 groups with a maximum aperture of f/3.5 at a focal length of 28mm. Satin-chrome housing. Designed by Ito Hiroshi. That was 5x faster than the then Carl Zeiss Tessar 28mm f/8, making it a truly usable wide-angle lens for rangefinder photographers of that era (Leica). Serena, derived from serene (the Sea of Serenity). It is a very small lens, 1.8 cm long, and at only 145 grams it hardly protrudes from the Leica, much less than a collapsed Summitar which at the time set the quality standard. The Serena name was no longer used by Canon for later lenses. It was a sensation. The year - the price - and from Japan. A complete surprise for fans of German-quality standards.

The offer is only the lens. Camera is not included, photographed for demonstration purposes.
