Salotto Modernista "Praga" by Ycami - 3-Seater Sofa and 2 Armchairs - Aluminum and Ostrich Fabric

Elegant and exclusive modernist design living room model "Praga", produced by the famous Italian company Ycami (historic brand of the Caimi Group, specializing in high-end aluminum furniture). The set is complete and consists of a large linear 3-seat sofa and two coordinated armchairs.

Structure and Design: The living room stands out for the geometric rigor of its structure, with horizontal aluminum slats in brushed metal, an iconic material and the brand’s technological signature. The lines, clean and with a strong high-tech and post-modern flavor, recall the structural lightness typical of Italian industrial design from the late twentieth century.

Cushions and Upholstery: The cushions are covered in the original fabric named by the brand "Struzzo" (composition: 83% PVC, 9% Polyester, 8% Cotton). This is a high-quality synthetic embossed material that faithfully reproduces the luxurious, dotted ostrich skin texture, while offering great water resistance and easy maintenance. The padding combines rigid, supporting polyurethane foam for the seats with a soft feather/ground-down filling for the backs, enclosed in 100% cotton inner pockets (as per the original labels).

General condition: The set is in overall excellent vintage condition. The metal frames are solid, stable and free of structural defects. The black PVC exterior upholstery maintains a splendid gloss and shows no chafing on the front.

Transparency note: There is a seam opening of a zipper on the back of one cushion (visible in the photo), a wear defect easily repairable by a tailor or upholsterer and that does not affect the aesthetic performance of the living room once positioned, along with some scratches on the aluminum structures.

Shipping and Pickup: Given the volume of the lot, on-site pickup by the buyer is preferred. Alternatively, the seller is available to coordinate with a private courier or with the transport company directly hired by the auction winner.
