Description from the seller
HIGHLIGHTS:
• Rover Mini Cooper MPi Sportspack LE (1997)
• Outfitted with front and rear upgraded subframes, Hi-Low adjustable suspension, and an RC 40 exhaust back box
• Underwent a comprehensive two-year body-off style restoration
• Original upholstery preserved in well-maintained condition with factory Blaupunkt cassette radio
HISTORY/OVERVIEW:
The classic Mini, originally designed by Sir Alec Issigonis, received its final and most refined factory iteration in the late 1990s with the introduction of Multi-Point Injection (MPi) and the factory Sportspack option. This particular 1997 Rover Mini Cooper MPi Sportspack LE is registered, insured, and has a current MOT in Poland under the seller's name. The vehicle underwent a comprehensive restoration over a period of nearly two years, during which the bodywork, paint, interior, subframes, electrical system, suspension, and mechanical components were thoroughly overhauled or upgraded. The seller notes that a routine engine oil service was completed last month.
EXTERIOR:
During the restoration, the body received extensive repairs including new sills, new door skins, floor repairs, new front fenders, and boot repairs. The underbody is protected with a Cobra anti-corrosion coating and is reported to be free of rust. The paintwork is presented in good condition, showing only a few minor, hardly visible touch-ups. New window rubbers and new tyres have been fitted.
INTERIOR:
The cabin features original upholstery preserved in excellent condition. All electrical components function properly, including the original Blaupunkt radio cassette system.
MECHANICS:
The 1,275 cc MPi engine produces 63 bhp and is reported to run very well. The gearbox operates smoothly without gear crunching, supported by a new clutch slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder. Mechanical upgrades include completely restored and upgraded front and rear subframes, Hi-Low adjustable suspension, an RC 40 rear exhaust silencer, a new steering rack, new wheel bearings, and new fuel and brake lines alongside renewed brakes all around.
DOCUMENTS:
The car comes with valid Polish registration documents, insurance, and current MOT paperwork.
The vehicle can be viewed and picked up in Kielce, Poland. Bids do not include transportation or export costs unless stated otherwise. Arranging transport, transfer of ownership, and any applicable export/COC fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
