Object Description
A perfect blend of the history of amateur cinema and Florence's artisanal craftsmanship. This iconic Pathé 9.5 mm film camera has been reinterpreted with an artistic customization intervention that pays homage to the timeless atmosphere of Parisian landscapes and the early tourist shoots along the Canal Saint-Martin.
The Crafted Intervention & Restoration
The Artisan: The intervention is overseen by a restoration expert for artworks and vintage objects active in Florence for over 30 years.
Technical-Artist Integration: On the broad side of the camera (corresponding to the spool loading door), above the original leatherette, a landscape vision in high-strength technical material has been integrated.
Material Characteristics: Protective coating resistant to oily substances, dirt, and pleasant to the touch, specially designed to guarantee both striking aesthetic impact and the functional preservation of the camera.
Finish: Surface cleaning, preserving the original patina of the metal body, the chrome details, and the vintage leather carrying strap.
